Dabbling in the idea of setting up a cloud virtual machine that would run MC, host all of my media assets, and generally serve as my new primary media server I could access and configure with all of my client devices.

Considering this hypothetical machine's sole purpose as an MC-centric media server, what would be the simplest/most efficient set-up? As in, what OS/image would you choose? Is the Id image (NUC 300 and higher for video capability) with its Linux OS, MC, and firmware available anywhere outside of actually purchasing an Id? Would an Id image even work in this context? If not, are there any other helpful suggestions to make and things I should consider?
