24.0.16 (1/14/2019)

1. NEW: Panel - Added support for saving playlists. When selecting 'Save Playlist' from the additional options menu, it will grab the list in Playing Now for the current zone and save it with the name the user provides.
2. NEW: Panel - Added an option to the settings page to set how the sub-folder count is indicated. Currently defaults to hidden.
3. Changed: Panel - Moved the shuffle and repeat buttons to the additional options menu on the Playing Now page.

24.0.15 (1/8/2019)

1. NEW: JRiver for Android will now attempt to import from secondary storage devices as well.
2. Fixed: The app would crash when using the back button in some cases.
3. Fixed: The notification playback buttons were sending commands to all zones.

24.0.14 (12/21/2018)

1. NEW: Added an About option to the menu to display the app version.
2. Fixed: The app service would sometimes crash.

24.0.13 (12/20/2018)

1. NEW: The app now runs as a service, which allows it to keep system resources when in the background or sleeping. This will cause more of a drain on batteries if the service is running when the device is asleep.
2. NEW: Added a notification window with some playback control options for when the device is locked or the app is in the background.
3. NEW: Added a quit option to the menu in the action bar that will properly stop Media Center.

24.0.12 (12/14/2018)

1. Fixed: Playing an image to the Player zone would cause a crash.
2. Changed: The device back button will navigate back through the
browser history instead of destroying the task unless it can't go back.
3. Changed: Added the DCIM (camera) folder to the list of import folders.

24.0.11 (12/12/2018)

1. NEW: Added image support.
2. Fixed: The Android output plugin would crash with floating point PCM data.

24.0.10 (12/11/2018)

1. NEW: Added support for Android TV devices.

24.0.9 (12/10/2018)

1.  Fixed one crash.

24.0.8 (12/7/2018)

1.  APE files now play.

24.0.7 (12/6/2018)

1. Fixed: Seek was not working when playing to the player or other zones.
2. Fixed: The UI was not getting restored on rotation and during other state changes on some versions of Android.

When I run my JRiver for Android on my home network, JRiver now shows up as a zone on my server and I can send it FLAC music files which playback successfully. Nice work!!!

Does this use DLNA?

Yes.  It can probably also play or serve files the MC way.  MCWS will work, for example.

After installing .17, I had no zones showing.  I restarted the app, and the phone, cleared the cache to no avail.  I then deleted the app data and the "player" zone then showed.

It can take a few minutes for DLNA devices to appear.

Including "Player"?

I had not had this happen before (opening the app and being unable to output to any device) so I looked at the change log for .17 and saw this:

1. Changed: Removed the zone "Here," which referred to the web browser, from JRiver for Android.

Indeed Here is gone, but so was Player until I reset the data.  After doing that I opened the app and Player was there immediately, as expected.

There does seem to be a bug here. If you had the app set to a zone that isn't active when the app starts, the zone list never updates. Before, you could fix this by changing the zone to "Here" because it was always active and it would force the zone list to update. We will try to have a fix for this soon.

Clearing the app data will fix this problem; however, it also deletes the library. There should be a fix for this bug out later today.

Yeah, I noticed the library rebuilt itself.  Not a huge deal because I've kept my phone's library pretty small to play with the app in its beta status.  Thanks!
