Hi
I purchased MC20 masterlicence which I used with windows and apple. I have since abandoned apple and now use windows and linux mintOS.
I upgraded to MC24 a few weeks ago and am delighted with the improvements since MC20, faster ripping, theatre view etc. I am now 90% through installing MC24 on Linux, but the registration code is being rejected. Do I need to first install MC20 on the linux machine, I have tried this but have limited knowledge of Linux Mint and failed to install MC20 correctly. The instructions seem much clearer with Linux version of MC24, and I seem close to a successful installation.
Your advice would be much appreciated

All licenses/upgrades sold since December are actually MC25 licenses (which is out now too) but they work in the latest MC24 builds as well. Just make sure you're using the latest build of MC24, 24.0.78.

When you upgraded to MC24 did you purchase a new Master Licence? Your old MC20 Master Licence is not valid for anything above MC20.
If You didn’t you will need to buy a new Master licence, now MC25, which I believe is still available at a discount. You can then use the new registration code on MC 24 if you have the most current version, or just go straight to MC25.

I originally purchased a MC20 licence a few years ago which I used with a windows computer and an apple computer. I recently purchased a  MC24 master licence, but this time to use with a windows and a linux computer, having stopped using apple .
I updated the windows version without problem. When I downloaded and installed MC24 for linux, the registration code was rejected. MC24 is installed and working on the linux computer, but I suspect it is the 30day trial.
What I am asking is whether I need to install MC20 on the linux computer and update to MC24.

No, you'll just need the latest version of MC24 installed on Linux, which is 24.0.78.
