Issue with 'Sync Changes With Library Server'
« on: April 21, 2019, 02:44:23 am »

I can't seem to 'Sync changes with Library Server' - from Mac Client 25.18 to Windows Client 25.0.24

Error server needs to be configured with authentication (attachment 1) - but it is configured to authenticate (see attachment 2).

Any ideas?

Everyone appears to be set to Read Only, but with authentication.
Setting this to Read/ Write should solve I think.

Not the most informative error if this is the case but still :)

Yes, makes sense - only there appears to be no way I can see to change it to read/write. No matter how I click the drop down, it never changes from 'Read Only'.
See attached, I only get these options when I click the drop down.

Any ideas?

That is specifically the option for read-only authentication. You can configure two sets of username/password, the first marked just as "Authentication" is for read-write access, and the second marked Read-Only is for only read access.
Make sure to use distinct logins, and that your client uses the read-write username/password.

Many thanks. I was using same username/password for each login it seems. Wasn't clear to me they were considered two separate credentials.

Once I changed one username and reconnected, the sync worked fine.

Good stuff, cheers!
