View Scheme by file date?
« on: May 14, 2003, 11:27:05 am »

I'd like a view that grouped files by when I ripped them.  Rip Date\Artist\Album.  How do you do that?  I don't see "file date" as a property you can use in a view scheme.

Thanks.

The "Recently ripped" playlist sort by rip date... perhaps you can use it for your purpose.

Yes, I know about that,  but I really want to create a view as described.  For example, there may be a batch of rips that I want to access that wasn't ripped that recently.  I know there's a way to do this in MC9 - I remember this question as having come up before and it was explained how to do it in MC9.  But, I can't figure out how.

You can't do dates in the tree in 9.0.

Look for improvements in this area in a future version.

Matt:

Thanks for the reply.  And, ugh.  I could swear that this was promised for V9.  Am I crazy?

Is there any other way to find all songs ripped on or near a certain date?  A filter or sort, perhaps?

(on an unrelated note - I don't seem to get email notifications to posts, except for the first reply to a thread I start.  Is this a known issue?)

Thanks.
