So far I've been paying lots of attention to my video library (correct cover art and tags)
For audio I was just importing without checking … as I near end of ripping my videos … time to shift attention to audio while it has not grown too big
First … cover art … I tried [Tools]->[Options]->[Cover Art]->[Audio Mode] all three options ("In the same folder as the file", "In the same folder as the file as Folder.jpg", "In a specified folder") … result the same - MC seems to get cover art from embedded image inside files … except for SACD iso, for which MC chooses file "[Artist] - [Album].jpg"
I want MC to pick "[Artist] - [Album].jpg" located in the album folder … but don't know how?
Some background:
1. all music files are either flac, wav, or iso
2. all flac and wav have embedded cover art (small ones for compatibility with portable players) … except iso, which have no cover art
3. albums are located on read-only drive with structure "/Artist/Album (Year)"
4. all album locations have images "cover.jpg" which is large scans, and "[Artist] - [Album].jpg" which is what I want to use
5. all album locations have cue files (except iso) … some of those are none standard in UTF-8 instead of ANSI
What I did:
1. Specified auto import location
2. Run auto-import
3. Change [Tools]->[Options]->[Cover Art]->[Audio Mode] … then "Select All" in Album view and "Remove Tags" … then deleted those items from library … then run auto-import
Result same … seems to be picking cover from embedded image (except iso)
I tried removing "cover.jpg" for some Albums … and renaming "[Artist] - [Album].jpg" to "Folder.jpg" ... result still same - MC picks embedded
Help please
PS. maybe I am not clearing tags properly before each reimport? ... and MC uses old tags/cover?
