I know this question sounds weird...BUT
Can a video card who has a problem or not working well or broke be the cause of the computer freezing when making left click?
I have this problem since months . But ,as you know :'it is because you run Windows ME ..."
Now i have new motherboard ,new Atlon 2000 and Windows 2000 and the problem is worst.
Cannot be the driver : on the cd for ME ,only one to download for 2000. No mistake possible.
Cannot be the install,i did SEVEN clean installs since 24 hours whith any kind of ways to install the video card driver.
If i stay without video card ,no problem ,as soon as i install BOUM! left click on the mouse frozes the computer.
Sometimes ,the first click when Windows restat
Before was a pentium 700 ,or 900 ,i do not remember ,intel motherboardand ME
Now Atlon 2000 ,Soltek motherboadr and Windows 2000
Mouses are many and any kind
keyboards the same
any mix mouse keyboard gives the same result
the video card is Inno3D Tornado - GetForce 2MX400.
To this day the only parts of the computeur being on both configurations are
Drives [ 3 Maxtor 1 IBM]
ATA 133 AD card
LG dvd room
Plextor cd-w
and ,of cause the video card.
I got it when i got the dvd room ,and after days thinking about it ,i'am allmost sure than from this day i have the problem
I do not mind to change video card - i would like the dual Maxtor to plug 2 monitors.
But if i can get some hints telling me that yes the video carfd is the cause ,it would be fine
Or that no ,it can be
Living for now without video card,Quitte funny to post
