Description
Media Center 27 improves the playlist export feature.  It adds the format MPL and splits the screen to be more readable on small screens.

Instructions
Pick a playlist in the tree, then click File > Export Playlist and see the new dialog and new choices.

Ummm, MPL Playlist export format was added to the "Export All Playlists" function, not the Export Playlist function, which already had it.

Or is this some other change coming after MC27.0.6?

Ah no, it is these two changes, which are two separate functions.
27.0.1 (8/11/2020)
1. NEW: Added MPL to the list of output formats for playlist export. -> This should say: 1. NEW: Added MPL to the list of output formats for the "Export All Playlists" function.
3. Changed: Made the export playlist dialog split into two columns.
