Enable Move tool for clients?
« on: October 04, 2020, 09:19:33 am »

I import photos from a temporary location to my server and then process them on a client.  If they are "keepers", I then move them to a permanent location.  The temporary and permanent locations are on a network-shared drive.  Currently the only way I know of to do this from a client is to do a
"Find & replace" on the Filename field which is kind of messy and often leads to mistakes.  Is there a way that you could enable the Move tool when dealing with network locations?

Yes, please. I've asked for this a few different times.

We used to be able to do this (many, many moons ago), but as MCWS got more robust, we lost that ability. I'd really like it if the tool could be improved so that it used the same logic as the Playback "Use local file if one exists" option.

If the local files exist, let you use RMCF. If not (and you only have the MCWS link for streaming), block them.

Any chance of this happening?
