Does MC 9 support my Rio Riot?  I want to add my music from MC to my Riot, but I can't seem to do it.......

Not at this time, sorry. SonicBlue has denied being able to give us what we need to support it.

That's a real shame, especially since they're going for $160 refurbished, probably thanks to Sonicblue's demise.

What about any other jukebox apps that you may know about?  Real One Player absolutely stinks, and that's the only one I know of so far....

There's a program called rioutil http://freshmeat.net/projects/rioutil/?topic_id=146%2C123, but unfortunately it only appears to work with MacOS, FreeBSD and Linux (in other words, every consumer OS that's not Windows  :P) Sonicblue is supposed to be releasing an updated music manager in the summer...or at least it was, who knows with the bankruptcy and all.

There's a powertoy from Microsoft which will supposedly allow you to view the Rio Riot in My Computer, if you have Windows XP. The URL is http://www.microsoft.com/windows/plus/dme/PortableDevices.asp

You also might want to post your question in the RioWorld forums http://www.rioworld.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1, that's where I found the rioutil link.

Good Luck

Adam

PS What are your thoughts on the RioRiot? I'm considering getting one since they're SO cheap

I've also found something called Sveta Portable Audio. Although the Rio Riot support is in beta, it might be worth a look here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?s=83d6032f2cec59077d5e874a185df273&threadid=2185

Also Steve, it says there that they got the Rio SDK from Sonicblue, maybe you could talk to them  ;D

Thanks, I have and this is where they claim it is not available. Maybe they are making it available only to certain people. I will try again.
