Delete JRiver's access on last.fm's settings page and clear your account from within MC itself, then add it back in MC (and it'll prompt the last.fm page to allow it too).
Thanks for you help. I deleted access from Last.fm a while back but still have the issue. I have not cleared the account from within MC. How do I do this? In Tools>Options>Services I can uncheck 'Submit playback information to Last.fm'. I have unchecking it, playing a song. Quiting MC, then checking it again but still the same result, opens a Last.fm page asking to authorise JRiver. i click authorise and it accepts but then doesn't scrobble and a new tab is opened eveytime a song plays.
If I click 'Manage Last.fm account' it takes me to the same Last.fm page to click authorise with the same results.
Is there somewhere else in MC that I should clear the Last.fm account?
I think what he's looking for is a feature change where playback isn't stopped after each track when Last F.M. is having its problems.
It would be better if there was just a short timed message that the song/track did not connect or scrobble to Last FM instead of stopping playback.
I just uncheck scrobbling for a while and check back later when this behavior happens.
No, I am looking to solve the same issue as the OP. I want scrobbling to work again and to not open up a new Last.fm tab in my browser every time a song plays.
