Changing Libraries: An issue or a feature?
« on: February 25, 2021, 07:51:23 am »

Here's the situation.  I have  a Sonos device set up to play to a wired speaker system connected via a 3.5mm stereo interconnect.  On another computer I have JRiver MC27 running and connected to one of three libraries hosted on one of three computers.  When I attempt to change (load a different) servers on this computer, the instance of JRiver MC27 "grays out" with the spinning windows circle, and I eventually have to kill MC27 the hard way and the info gets reported back to Microsoft by Window.  I relaunch MC27 and it comes back alive and well with the library that I had attempted to change to before it "grayed out".

The other problem is that, for whatever reason, the attempted library change and ultimate program crash also did something to the Sonos device and stopped the sound from playing.

Is this too esoteric an issue to think about or is there something in my network setup that I can look into?

Thanks.
