I need to un-install MC9 & start over

I'm having major problems with MC9.  I'm almost 100% sure that if I did a complete un-install and re-installed MC9, everything would be fine.

I know the un-install is not complete.  My registration data remains, my default options remain, so something must be left over after in un-install.

Does anyone know how to COMPLETLY un-install MC9?

My only other alternative is to another product.  Currently I cannot sync my IPOD.

I can't tell you the exact method of uninstalling, but some tips for you...

- Back up your playlists prior to uninstalling! Backup any rules for customised smartlists.
- Make sure that all your tags are up to date so that when you do a re-import, you get your library back to where it is now!
- Keep a note of any customised fields that you have.
- Back up any customised visualisations that you might have.

The reasons that I suggest doing this instead of backing up and restoring your library is because (as was my experience) over the various builds of MC, the library has changed slightly and so while not strictly corrupt, there are parts that don't work as well as they could!

When starting over again, make sure that you create your customised fields before importing.

Also be aware that importing playlists tends to make a bit of a mess, as far as organisation goes, so depending on how you've organised your playlists, you may want to make a note now of where they belong!

Oh, another comment:

Unless your woes are device issues (ie: drivers and the like), just try a normal uninstall and recreation of your library. That might solve some of the problems that you are having. Without knowing what problems you are experiencing, it is difficult to say what will solve what!

Thanks for the reply.

The big problem I have now is MC9 crashes when I try to sync.  If I do a normal un-install and a re-install it does not help.
