Hi everyone,

I have no idea whether this is a MC induced problem or not, but I post it here in case anyone has similar problems... Chances are it's really not.

Recently, XP has been complaining that it can't go into hibernation because of a "Terminal Server Keyboard" device driver that is preventing it from doing so.

Looking up on MS Support says that there is some driver which has attached itself to the kernel keyboard driver and which does not support plug 'n play something or other. I'm sorry that I don't have the exact wording, or the links -- time is running short!

The workaround it gives is to uninstall the offending software and restart. However, nothing I've tried seems to work...

Any ideas?? Anyone else have (or ever have!) this problem?

It's not. I have 3 PCs running Pro and they can go into hibernation. However----> MC can not return from hibernation IF a song is playing at the time. This has been a BUG since day one. Other media programs can return and play without a problem.

Sorry, I don't know about you're problem. Hopefully someone can help.

My computer just went into hibernate and then came back and I had a song playing.  It worked flawlessly.

If ripped music is playing...

When Win XP Pro goes into Hibernation & returns the same music is playing at the same spot but it is garbled.  If I pause it, then select play it resumes ok.

If playing the TV...

Can't Hybernate at all.

The TV seems to screw up a lot of things.  Can't even shut down Windows if the TV is playing.  This needs to be fixed.

Just tried a couple of other things.

* If I close the TV in MC I can Hybernate but there is no TV sound after Hybernation.  All other sound is ok.
* The ATI TV tuner does exactly the same thing... no TV sound after Hybernation, so it appears to be a Windows XP Problem.
* After re-starting Windows, TV sound returns ok until the next Hybernation.

I also tried Suspend mode with the same exact problems...
* Garbled MC music & no TV sound.

Don't do it right away. Wait a few hours, then try it.

I just let MC play for 5.5 hours, WinXP uptime was 19.5 hours and it still worked properly.

You let it play, then did the hibernate and then when it came back up, it was still playing?

What I meant was...play a file, let it hibernate for a few hours, then turn it back on. If that's what you did, then there is something wrong with my system, soundcard, drivers, or...mc.

I know MC keeps track of the lastplayed time. I thought about that first when the time has changed in midstream.

I'm using the audiophile 24/96. It works with Winamp, WMP. Maybe it could be the playback settings (ASIO, DSP, etc.).

I'll have to keep fiddling with it.

Correct, I let it play for that long, but it was in hibernation for only a minute.  I will let it hibernate when I hibernate tonight.

I have a Hercules GameSurround Fortisimmo II.

I left my three car zones in hibernation over night, and when I booted up this morning they were still playing perfectly. This is on a built in AC97 sound card set to 6 channel mode, where I use two per zone. So this is not a problem with all systems.

I forgot I had my library in UNC format. I bet it has something to do with that. I'm gonna change it and see if it still happens.

When I come back from hibernation, the player window is stuck. If I try playing another track, I get "Buffering..." and nothing happens. When I hit Stop, then Play, everything is fine.
