Very long MP3's
« on: March 28, 2003, 07:47:12 am »

I have quite a few MP3s which clock in around four hours long, and when I play them, the slider in the lower left hand corner behaves erratically.  Sometimes it seem ok, but often, it doesn't move at all and gives me inaccurate times remaining, elapsed, etc.

Has this problem ever come up before?

Out of pure curiosity: What the heck is that long? I've got a bunch of taped books and stuff, but when they're not split in chapters I do that myself.

Contemporary radio shows.  I record some shows for a friend of mine, though occasionally when I'm not available, I will listen to them myself.  That's how I discovered the problem.  She uses an old version of Winamp and doesn't seem to have the same problem.
