Running Windows 10 Pro PC with a Asus Essence STX II 7.1 sound card. Have been running the Asus Sound card with JRiver 28 as WASAPI for a while now without any issues.
JRiver 28 is set as the main sound output device on the Windows Sound Panel. The WDM driver is selected in Options-Features.
All the sudden I am getting a Playback error that WASAPI cannot be used. Running MC28 28.0.106.
I have an identical Windows PC in another installation with exactly the same components as the one mentioned above and it is working fine.
Have been through every setting and can't figure what has changed. The Sound cards in the two computers are identical and can play 6 channels at 24/192Khz.
Looked at updating the sound card drivers and they are current.
Again this was all working fine. Not sure if JRiver did an update or what!
Looked through the Wiki and have checked everything mentioned.
Any help greatly appreciated. I would be tearing my hair out but I don't have much left! ?
