Tranferring Mc to another computer
« on: March 08, 2003, 07:20:15 am »

Hi
Install MC with 1800 audio files and some .avi.
Just bought another computer.
My Mc is now on my E drive and my audio files on my D drive, my video files on my H drive.
With my new computer, I will install MC on my C drive, Audio and video to my D drive.
Is this a problem to install MC on another drive?
Is this aproblem to install video files on another drive?

Everything should be ok, provided that you start a new library... If you keep the old library it will not know where your files are...

If you keep all your data files in the same drive/path locations as on the old computer, then you should be able to re-use the library (despite MC being at a different locale). Use the Backup Library function on the old computer and Restore Library on the new (or copy all the *.jmd's from the old to the new).
