Opening files from the web
« on: January 10, 2003, 06:31:30 am »

I've placed music samples on my website. The samples are in MP3 format; however, whereas one PC with Quicktime can easily open and play the links, another with Quicktime cannot (although with MediaJukebox, they can enter the URL in the File/Open streamline... and it'll play.)   I want my visitors to be able to click and hear without having to enter the actual URL. You responded earlier that web browsers may need to be set up to associate the mp3 file type to an 'outside helper' application. How/where do I do this?

If the music is yours, put a link here so others can try it.  Maybe someone will see something.

Settings are in the browser you're using.
