this is similar to https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,134889.0.html but more severe because the filter is only considered valid if it has exactly 8 channel indexes listed (i.e. 2-9 for the 7.1 set of channel names), this means this operation is unusable for higher channel counts and removes an important part of functionality that can be used for routing purposes (in lieu of a matrix mixer). It would be v useful to get this fixed so it can operate on all available channels.
