I have found a bunch of info about moving renaming changing paths within the MC library, since there are so many different scenarios I am not sure what to do.

My situation is this. I have had MC running on my main PC. All Video files are already on a drive within that PC so those are fine.

My Audio files however were stored on another older pc that was kind of acting as a NAS. So MC accessed them through my network.

That PC stopped powering on, so letting MC move them is no longer an option. I removed the drive and copied all the files to my internal drive on the PC with MC. Now though my Library still points to the old PC.

for example an audio file in MC still points:
\\USER-PC\My Tunes\Big Phat Band\Swinging for the Fences\Sing Sang Sung.flac
USER-PC being the name of my quasi "NAS" no longer accessable.
What I need is for MC to find all my files still in same subdirectories at:
H:\My Tunes\Big Phat Band\Swinging for the Fences\Sing Sang Sung.flac

I'd like to do this without wiping the library and re importing. since all the info is still there.

I am fairly sure this is an easy thing to do. But, I don't want to start pressing buttons with out actually knowing how.

Any thoughts?

One more thing about playlists. I have exported them to .mpl files opened them in notepad changes all drives from //USER-PC to H: and saved them.
Will that work? If so, will I be able to import them or should I find the location playlists are stored and overwrite with these?

Thanks JimH I saw this. But this suggests that doing so MC will move files. But the files have already been moved.

You can use Find and Replace. 

Select a few files, right click and go to Tools > Library Tools > Rename, Move & Copy > Find and Replace

Replace
\\USER-PC\My Tunes
with
H:\My Tunes

Check your work.
