This would be a great feature I think.
1Tree and View settings - for each field, when we click on 'edit'. As well as the options we have there, it would be VERY nice if there was a new option added allowing us to specify an icon for each field. If none was specified it would use the default one otherwise we could specify which icon to use.
This would mean that in the tree we would see different icons in the tree. So if we had it set for: year/artist/album, each of the icons at each point would be the icon we'd set in the options screen. If it was not set up then it would look like it does now.
2Also, in 'File Associations', for each filetype it'd be GREAT if we could set extra options maybe by clicking an 'advanced' button for each one or an 'edit' button similar to the tree & view settings screen.
This would then allow us to specify for each file type whether we thought it was video/audio/image/playlist which would solve a lot of the problems we've seen recently where some people have different media types for the same type of file. As well as this we could also set an icon for each file type.
Either that or we could just be aloud to specify what media type each extension was and then set general icons for each media type.
Winamp used to offer this in version 2 and it was such a nice feature!!!!
I dont know why on earth they got rid of it for v3 (not that I use it much anyway).
All these icons should be able to be set manually as well as by skins.
3A new type of media - so far there is: Audio/Video/Image
I'd also like to see : playlist
What'd you guys think? possible for v9 or not?
You've seen a lot of requests for being able to set the icons for file types in explorer, and being able to set it inside MJ as well would be huge
