Is there a way to trim songs in JRiver?
« on: July 12, 2023, 07:16:58 pm »

As a radio dj, sometimes you want to edit out long vocal intros and/or live audience sounds outros for songs ... iTunes has a easy way to do this by editing the song duration in a right-click Options menu function.

Is there a way to easily do the same function in JRiver?

(Fingers crossed)

Yikes, Matt!

I'm a rather new convert from iTunes to JRiver and I don't even know where to find where I could fiddle with the Playback Range . . . I've clicked and right-clicked on seemingly jillions of items in JRiver and can't see where to do that.

I really hate to say that something might be easier (better?) in iTunes than JRiver, which I'm really pleased with so far - but this function might be that thing.

Ack!!!

Click "Tag" in the Action Window and search for "Playback Range".

Or show the "Playback Range" column in any audio view and edit in place.

Noticed - while the link is correct, nowhere does it say "Tag" but rather "Field" on the wiki.

This thread says "Tag" which we should not assume everyone equates to "Field".

Just a thought - not complaining; merely pointing out a confusion in terminology or perhaps inconsistent use of terms to essentially mean the same thing.
