Auto Install
« on: February 04, 2003, 12:26:51 am »

Hi,
Installing the latest build and it now has an option:

Next time use auto install after 30 second time out.

What is this? What does it do? What's the point of it? :)

And if it does what it says... Auto Install.... will it by any chance remember my file associations?

Yeah - if 'Auto Install' is basically: 'Upgrade Media Jukebox and remember all settings, file associations and dont create any new start menu links etc' then it is a HUGELY welcomed addition to the installer.
What's the whole bit about 30 second time out though?

Also, somehow I dont think that's what the auto install does.

Again - Matt and Jim - This is one feature that I think might need clarifying on the actual program as even if you do answer it here in this post, it is still going to leave all other users who dont read this post in the dark.

Features, no matter how amazing, are no good if users dont realise they're there, understand what they do and can also work out how to use them easily.

In this case it could be an amazing feature but no one knows what it is and so are a bit wary of using it - especially first time users who are after all the ones you want to try to hold onto the most and turn into veterans.

Yes, the lack of replies is interesting.

.... unless..... maybe it has something to do with the "egg" JimH and crew are sitting on?
