The DAC is working perfect in linux with DSD512,why do you say is a problem with the DAC??
Please read my messages above more carefully, as I explained it above. Native DSD and DoP (DSD-over-PCM) are two different things, the only difference between them is the delivery mechanism used to send the data to your DAC. The downside to DoP specifically is it's limited to whatever the max PCM sample rate of your DAC is.
Depending on the DAC and the driver used and what they support, on Linux with ALSA it supports
both native DSD and DoP. Keep in mind not all DACs support native DSD and some only support DoP (e.g. the original Schiit Loki) but in this case with your DAC supporting DSD512 I'm going to assume it does support both native DSD and DoP. Because your DAC supports DSD512, DSD512 playback via bitstreaming likely only works when using native DSD, as the DAC does not appear to support a PCM sample rate large enough for DoP with DSD512 to work. For DoP with DSD512 your DAC would need to support a PCM sample rate of 1411.2 kHz, which means DoP with your DAC is going to be limited to DSD256.
Here's a quick cheat sheet to understand the different PCM sample rates that need to be supported for DoP...
DSD64 via DoP requires a PCM sample rate of
176.4 kHz.
DSD128 via DoP requires a PCM sample rate of
352.8 kHz.
DSD256 via DoP requires a PCM sample rate of
705.6 kHz.
Now, with me so far? ASIO on Windows is capable of supporting both native DSD and DoP, depending on the DAC and what it supports and what you have MC's device settings for the ASIO output set to. For DSD512 with your DAC, you'd need to use ASIO with the
DSD bitstream in DoP format option
unchecked and DSD bitstreaming
enabled and it goes without saying, but DSP Studio > Output Format > Output Encoding has to be set to
None too.
WASAPI on Windows supports only DoP, so it'll be limited to DSD256 with your DAC.
To summarize, to successfully playback DSD512 on Windows without any conversions you'd need to use ASIO using native DSD with DSD bitstreaming enabled.
I think is the win version of the jriver, anyways i will use it with linux if the win version is not working,Thnx for your support.
No, I'm 99.9% sure the issue is with the settings being incorrect. Once you fix it, it should work fine. If for whatever reason it doesn't work,
contact the DAC manufacturer and ask them because once the settings are correct there's no reason why it shouldn't work, unless the DAC straight up doesn't support it.
