Why are you upsampling to 8 x DSD?
What you installed the ASIO drivers for your DACs?
Do they support 8 x DSD?

If you're trying to playback DSD content, using DSP Studio > Output Format > Output Encoding is the worst way to do it. It's converting everything (PCM and DSD) to 8xDSD, which is a very system resource intensive task (and honestly a waste as you're not gaining anything and wasting resources), not to mention it's a lossy conversion. Enabling DSD bitstreaming is the way to go, to playback DSD content, assuming your DACs support it.

https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/DSD

Otherwise make sure you have your DAC selected (either ASIO or WASAPI) in MC's Options > Audio > Audio Device dropdown.

If that doesn't work, then you'll need to post more information and what exactly you're trying to achieve.

In those screenshots, it shows you're using DoP instead of native DSD. I believe by default the ASIO output uses native DSD for DSD playback instead of DoP. However if you go in MC's Options > Audio > Audio Device > Device settings you can try enabling the DSD bitstream in DoP format option and then going to DSP Studio > Output Format > Output Encoding and set it to None and finally enable DSD bitstreaming. It *should* hopefully work then. Alternately you can try using the WASAPI audio output for your DAC, enabling DSD bitstreaming and setting DSP Studio > Output Format > Output Encoding to None.

Here's a screenshot of the device settings for my ASIO output for my DAC, try enabling the option I highlighted in the red box...

If that doesn't work, you may need to contact the DAC manufacturer to inquiry about the proper settings needed.

You still don't have DSD bitstreaming enabled, so what's happening is Media Center is converting the DSD to PCM and playing that back. You need to enable DSD bitstreaming and try again, the bitstreaming option is in MC's Settings > Audio section.

Here's a screenshot of mine with the bitstreaming option highlighted with a red box.

You dont understand,i got 2 dacs shanling UA2 and Fiio KA3 both are  DSD512 32bit and 768Khz with android and linux

Windows is not Linux or Android or macOS. Each operating system has its own process of playing back DSD. On Windows you either have to use ASIO (which usually supports both native DSD and DoP) or WASAPI (which only supports DoP). Linux uses ALSA (which supports native DSD and DoP), macOS uses CoreAudio (which only supports DoP), etc. Just because it works on one, doesn't mean there's not more hoops to jump through for the others. Further complicating things even more is some DACs only support DoP, for example. It's a good idea to read the manual for the DAC to find out exactly what it supports or if all else fails, contact the DAC manufacturer for advice.

The wiki is also a great source of information about DSD: https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/DSD

Do note that with WASAPI with DoP and ASIO with DoP, your DAC likely can't playback DSD512 as it likely doesn't support a PCM sample rate large enough to do so. If 768 kHz is the maximum PCM sample rate supported by your DAC, you'll only be able to playback DSD256 max through DoP. In which case if it supports DSD512, it'd likely requires ASIO and native DSD to playback correctly. If it's not working, contact the DAC manufacturer.

The DAC is working perfect in linux with DSD512,why do you say is a problem with the DAC??I think is the win version of the jriver, anyways i will use it with linux if the win version is not working,Thnx for your support.

The DAC is working perfect in linux with DSD512,why do you say is a problem with the DAC??

Please read my messages above more carefully, as I explained it above. Native DSD and DoP (DSD-over-PCM) are two different things, the only difference between them is the delivery mechanism used to send the data to your DAC. The downside to DoP specifically is it's limited to whatever the max PCM sample rate of your DAC is.

Depending on the DAC and the driver used and what they support, on Linux with ALSA it supports both native DSD and DoP. Keep in mind not all DACs support native DSD and some only support DoP (e.g. the original Schiit Loki) but in this case with your DAC supporting DSD512 I'm going to assume it does support both native DSD and DoP. Because your DAC supports DSD512, DSD512 playback via bitstreaming likely only works when using native DSD, as the DAC does not appear to support a PCM sample rate large enough for DoP with DSD512 to work. For DoP with DSD512 your DAC would need to support a PCM sample rate of 1411.2 kHz, which means DoP with your DAC is going to be limited to DSD256.

Here's a quick cheat sheet to understand the different PCM sample rates that need to be supported for DoP...

DSD64 via DoP requires a PCM sample rate of 176.4 kHz.

DSD128 via DoP requires a PCM sample rate of 352.8 kHz.

DSD256 via DoP requires a PCM sample rate of 705.6 kHz.

Now, with me so far? ASIO on Windows is capable of supporting both native DSD and DoP, depending on the DAC and what it supports and what you have MC's device settings for the ASIO output set to. For DSD512 with your DAC, you'd need to use ASIO with the DSD bitstream in DoP format option unchecked and DSD bitstreaming enabled and it goes without saying, but DSP Studio > Output Format > Output Encoding has to be set to None too.

WASAPI on Windows supports only DoP, so it'll be limited to DSD256 with your DAC.

To summarize, to successfully playback DSD512 on Windows without any conversions you'd need to use ASIO using native DSD with DSD bitstreaming enabled.

I think is the win version of the jriver, anyways i will use it with linux if the win version is not working,Thnx for your support.

No, I'm 99.9% sure the issue is with the settings being incorrect. Once you fix it, it should work fine. If for whatever reason it doesn't work, contact the DAC manufacturer and ask them because once the settings are correct there's no reason why it shouldn't work, unless the DAC straight up doesn't support it.

Here, a step-by-step tutorial to set the ASIO audio output and to correctly setup DSD bitstreaming to get it to work correctly.

1) In MC's Options > Audio, set the Audio Device to the ASIO driver of your DAC making sure it says (ASIO) next to the name of your DAC's audio output, which for my DAC I highlighted the (ASIO) part in a red box...

2) After selecting the ASIO audio output for your DAC, below it click on Device settings... and make sure the DSD bitstream in DoP format is NOT checked then hit OK. When unchecked, you will be using native DSD and you should be able to playback DSD512 however if you check this box, it will enable DoP and you will not be able to output DSD512 without conversions. If you want DSD512, leave the option unchecked as shown here with my DAC highlighted in a red box...

3) Back in MC's Options > Audio, click on Bitstreaming and set it to DSD, as shown here with my DAC highlighted in a red box...

4) Finally, go to DSP Studio > Output Format and make sure Output Encoding is to None, as shown here with my DAC highlighted in a red box...

Having all this set correctly should allow DSD to playback correctly when using DSD bitstreaming.

If you want to see if DSD bitstreaming is working correctly, it should look like this when playing back...

It should say No changes are being made like it says in the image above of my DAC in the blue box. It should also say ASIO (bitstreaming) on the bottom for the output, like it says in the above image of my DAC in the red box.

That *should* be it.

It's working because you're converting everything (both PCM and DSD) to 8xDSD, which isn't the right way to playback DSD unless you actually want to convert everything to 8xDSD, but do know it's very resource intensive on the PC and it's a lossy conversion. Otherwise comparing Linux to Windows is apples and oranges here, and doesn't really matter since it appears Linux is set incorrectly for DSD bitstreaming as well.

Have you tried the tutorial above?
