Playing Now Popup skin "Notify Slider"
« on: October 13, 2024, 04:56:48 am »

Note: For a trouble-free experience with this skin, you must be using MC 33.0.30 or higher

Notify Slider
This skin changes dynamically as per the chosen standard view skin. The only constant items are the outer frame and the function buttons below the volume slider The example shown here is from the "Seamless" skin.

As the skin creator, I want the volume slider to be centered in relation to the volume mute button. Depending upon your chosen standard view skin, this may not be the case, and right now, there is nothing I can do about it. If the volume slider is not presenting correctly for you, you may prefer the original "Notify" skin as that one uses buttons that change the volume in 5% increments instead of a slider. Personally, I prefer the slider as it is more responsive and accurate than the buttons.

Notify Slider has been produced on a screen using a 1920 x 1200 resolution @ 100% on Windows 10 Pro. Feedback from users on other platforms and/or resolutions, good or bad, is especially appreciated.

For the curious, the initial release and testing thread can be found here.

The attached archive contains an mjp file. Extract and double click this mjp file. MC will automatically download and install the skin.

Thank you, and enjoy :)

Marko - You are amazing.

Not only have you used a currently undocumented Playing Now Popup feature, the Volume Slider; by adding a Frame to the "Notify" and "Notify Slider" skins you have managed to avoid the Apple Mac's unpredictable allergy to drawing 1 pixel wide borders, to create a Playing Now Popup that looks the same on both the Windows and Mac Platforms.
