I need an invoice for my company in the EU. I purchased master's license. The "invoice"  you sent automatically is not acceptable as a company because it is just an email with some details instead of a formal invoice.

Unique Invoice Number: A sequential and unique identifier.
Detailed Seller Information: The provider's full name, address, and tax identification number
Detailed Buyer Information: Our information (to be sent privately)
Description of Goods/Services: JRiver Media Center 33 Master License
Dates: The invoice issue date
Total Amount Due: USD 89.98

What we send is, I believe, a legal invoice in the United States, where it is issued.

Tax information number is not required and I would never put it on an invoice.

A unique invoice number is not required or meaningful.

The address is jriver.com.  A physical street address can easily be found there.  We could add it if that would help you.

All of the above could easily be created by anyone, so it is not a real proof of purchase.

Your bank information is proof of payment.

In the past, when requested, we've sent an invoice, but it is not materially different.  I think we will no longer do this.  It is a waste of a valuable person's time.

These requests always seem to come from Europe.

Tax information number:
This is a European thing.

All countries in Europe have a tax called VAT (value added tax), and if this is charged any invoice *must* legally include the VAT number.

It's roughly equivilant to a US sales tax, but for purchases by a business, you can rebate back VAT that you've paid out on purchases against your total VAT bill on sales, but only if you have an invoice with the VAT number and VAT paid.

That's why people are asking for invoices in this format.
