I downloaded a plug-in as you suggested and the editor came up with the file I wanted to save it into but after saving, the original file was not altered to the changes I made. It did the changes in the editor and played them perfectly but would not save to the original file. What am I doing wrong.

You may have saved it with a different name or in a different place.  Try searching for it from Windows Explorer.

No Jim, I save it to the original file but the original file is not changed. I have tried every one of the files in Media. I have tried playing it by author, by title and every way I can but none are edited.  :-[

When I open a file in the editor and then Save or Save As, it defaults to the location that I have set as the Temp directory in the MC options, not to the original location of the file I was editing.  So, unless you navigate back to the original files location when saving, it's not going to overwrite the original which means when you play the file in MC you will still be playing the original.  Did you try using Windows Find to search your hard drive to make sure there aren't any stray WAVs or MP3s laying around?

I went searching last night and found the file. It was just as rocketsauce said. Now I must find a way to replace it with the original. Thanks Jim and rocketsauce for your kind help.
