Install ASPI and CD playback
« on: December 23, 2002, 10:08:01 am »

Hi

When I want to play a CD I get this popup message

Install ASPI
It has been determined that ASPI software is not present on your system... would you like to have it auto. downloaded and installed?

If I answer NO
1. MC stop with a general windows protection fault

If I answer YES
1. Download
2. Succesfully installed
3. MC stop with a general windows protection fault

When I then after reboot want to play a CD I get the same popup message again!

Any suggestions?

Vorgod,

John T replied to this problem in another thread.  You have to delete or rename the "wnaspi32.dll" file which is in the MC9 folder.  If you do a search using your "find" tool you will find two of them. Rename the one in the MC9 folder..and voila!
