Media Library doesn't save column preferences
« on: November 03, 2003, 07:12:01 pm »

This question is related to what I'll call the "quick filters" in the Media Library (sorry if they have a different name); in other words, the columns in the upper-right "pane" of the library (Artist, Album) which can be used to quickly display matching tracks down below...

If I remove and add quick filter columns, how do I save them?  Everytime I go back into Media Center after closing the app, it reverts to the defaults (just Artist and Album).

I've tried View | View Filter | Save View Filter Between Sessions, but that doesn't do it.  I've also tried View | List Style | Save This View (and every option below that), but no good.

Any ideas?

In MC 9.1, if you add or remove view scheme columns, it should remember them. (click the column headers for the add / remove menu)

Try adding a new View Scheme and see if MC remembers it.

Also, make sure you're using at least 9.1.290.

Thanks!

I have a similar question but regarding the real columns under the filter panes.

When upgrading MC, even if i copy the data folder from the previous build and then copy it over the new version, my column preferences are wiped. also the changes i made to the visualisation (spectural analyzer) in playing now are reset. which files do i need to copy to stop this from occuring?

Cheers.

Yes, I also find that my column preferences are wiped after a software update.
