No "My Documents" folder?
« on: November 24, 2003, 03:04:50 pm »

I've noticed that I don't have a My Dcouments folder under My Computer in MC.  This could be because I've relocated it to a non-standard location (d:\my documents) in an effort to keep all personal data out of the OS partition.  Is this a bug or is MC's My Computer not supposed to show the My Documents folder?

Also, I noticed that My Network Places is labelled My Computer.  Also a bug?

The network name was fixed in today's build. (310)

"My Documents" shows under "Documents" on my machine at home. (and I used a moved My Documents also)

Our tree is a tad different than some people are used to because we start at "My Computer" instead of "Desktop", but then we add the network to that same level.

Our logic is that the items underneath "Desktop" aren't all that helpful, so we may as well start at "My Computer."

Thanks Rands.

The only node I have below My Computer that doesn't have an actual drive letter is My Network Places.  If My Documents is supposed to appear and it's not for me, should I report this as a bug?
