Emusic streams
« on: November 29, 2003, 01:20:14 pm »

My problems with Emusic streams have become worse with the latest update of MC9.

Previously it would play the stream and lock up when finished, now it won't play the streams at all. It just keeps saying Media centre encountred errors when trying to play the file.

Anyone have any ideas?

Emusic certainly changed things so that you can only download with their download manager, but I'vealways been able to play the streams with any player. The downloaded MP3s certainly play fine with MC9, it's just the 30 second preview streams I have a problemwith.

They still seem to play fine with real player.

I posted about this in the past.  If I don't hit "stop" before the stream ends, I have to use TaskManager to kill the MediaCenter process.  It completely locks up my system until I do so...

Fantastic!  It will be nice to be able to stop using Winamp for streams...
