Although there is no specific field to hold files sample frequencies (i.e 44.1, 48 Khz) in MC you can do the following :
1/ You can display this information from inside MC through File (Properties/File Type Info).
2/ you can always create your own custom field to hold the information you need ( Tools/Options/Tree & View/Library fields)

I know it's a bit tedious to copy the sample rate for each file but maybe there is some sort of logic in your files that can help you decides on the right sample frequency for batches of files.
I have done that for other information not stored by default in MC fields like encoder parameters and mid/side stereo. Ok, I normally fill those fields when encoding new tunes. Once this is done it's very easy to organize files according to their technical properties.

First of all Thank You!

The File Type Info does show me what I am looking for.  I have tried to create a new column, however I do not know what keyword to use to search on.  I looked at other column keywords but I do not know where these values came from.

As I Said Before This Can Be Done If Someone Wanted To In A Plug-In.

But the SDK does not support some of this.

I could do this for MP3 but not for the other files.

It would be best if this was included in the SDK so a plug-in can be made or this info be included in fields that could be placed in when the file is imported.

I think i asked for this back in MJ6 to include a field to tell what id3 tags the file has (ID3v1\ID3v2) etc...

About creating a specific column for the sample frequency, you dont't need to know about any keyword. Just create your own (Options/Tree & View/Add Library field) say for example:
Name : Sample Frequency
Keywords : freq=
Data Type : String or decimal
Edit Type : standard
and Ok we go.

A good way to learrn how to master library fields is to examine existing ones with the Edit button (and cancel !).
