File types and conversion...?
« on: February 17, 2004, 11:37:08 am »

I'm wondering something about video file capability of Media Center.  I'm sure that the answer is posted elsewhere, but I don't seem to be able to find it, so I thought I'd ask here...)

1.) What formats of video files can MediaCenter play now?

2.) What formats can it NOT play?

3.) Are there file format conversion capabilities for video formats similar to what it has for audio files (MP3 to OGG, OGG to Lame, WAV to MP3, etc.)

Thanks... ;D

Well... I can see that there is a lot of fixing and patching going on here, but I figured that I'd atleast get some kind of answer about the questions I asked this morning.

They are, after all, pretty simple... and yet, their answers are not to be found in any place I've looked...

Does anyone here know the file type conversion and capability answers to the questions I asked...?

Thanks in advance (hopefully, not waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy in advance...) :-[
