v10 Feature Revision: Auto Pan Zoom Needs to be a Default Setting

The new Auto Pan Zoom feature in v10 is very nice.  But, it must curretly be enabled each time you start displaying images.  I find that I always want it on and must remember to go to the image commands submenu to enable the feature.

I would like to suggest that this feature be controllable as an image display option from the existing "Configure Display" or "Configure Image Playback" menu to allow the Auto Pan Zoom setting to be defined for all image/slideshows.

I agree, that you should be able to select and keep it as your default between sessions.

I agree.
Also, the controls to adjust speed don't seem to do anything.
Also, it often starts zoomed right in by about 1000%. An option like "Maximum zoom =" would be nice. I'd like somthing that just did slow, small zooms.

It was added as an experimental feature in MC 10.

Look for more polish and features sometime in the future.

Cool. It's a nice feature. I've noticed it tends to be a bit spasmodic though, changing direction several times quickly during a zoom.

If you're really looking to polish it, how about this? Allow the user to select several hotspots in the image. MC would choose one of these at random and zoom in or out of it. That way, you could choose faces, landmarks etc, and stop it zooming in on bits of sky or grass.
