Audio Analysis lets you do tons of things.

As you point out, MC can use Replay Gain to adjust volume levels. You can switch this on in the DSP studio, in the Play menu I think.

The iPod plugin also uses Replay Gain to adjust volume on the iPod.

You can use the Intensity and BPM to choose music that will fit a specific mood. For example I build smartlists that are based on genres, and then filtered by intensity and BPM to get more "energetic" or "mellow" moods.

gpvillamil,

Can you share some of these smartlists with us?  :)

Thanks in advance.

To automatically volume level tracks, you need to go to
Player->Playback Options->DSP studio
and enable the Replay Gain option

2 things:

In my media library there is nothing in the intensity column.  I've done the audio analysis.  How do I get to intensity?

I want a smartlist to have not more than 10% representation by an artist or artists.  I tried keying
~%=10 "Artist Name", "Artist Name" but the list dries up totally.  Can someone help me with what's wrong here?  Syntax?

As I understand it, the ~%=10 modifier simply takes your smartlist and discards a random 90% of it. It's not linked to fields. The closest way I can think of to what you want is this:
~nodup=[artist]
This will select one random track by every artist in your library.

That describes what happened.  The Help screen discription is murky.  Too bad.  And here I thought MC9 even did windows.
