Now sure when this started, but I tried to use "Fill Properties from Filename" with this file:

17-the_venice_four_with_rose_stone_and_the_abbot_kinney_lighthouse_choir-let_the_light_from_the_lighthouse_shine_on_me-rns.mp3

And while the system understood what was the track #, artist(s) and name, it only brought in the first thirty characters of the song's title.  I tried it with another file with an equally long title, and again, it cropped the title at thirty characters.

During the startup splash screen I get a dialog:

Failed to load library (couldnt find or create path)

Click OK and MC loads.

Once MC loads, go to File/Library/Library Manager, click add and navigate to wherever your library data files are located (probably ...\J River\Media Center\Data) and save it.

Is this for MP3? It sounds like you might have the MP3 input plugin (Tools/Plug-in Manager/Input/Mp3 Plugin/Configure) set to only write ID3v1 tags? If so, to save fields longer than 30 characters, you need to write ID3v2 tags in addition to (or instead of) ID3v1.

Yes, they are MP3's, and I just checked the MP3 input plug-in and found that it doesn't save ID3v1.  Only ID3v2.  Is anyone else having this problem ?
