« on: May 09, 2004, 12:38:18 pm »

Hi,

I have a problem with MC 9.1, when I play video files no problem, but with audio files, my rear speakers doesn't work...

The sound-card is integrated on my Asus A7N8X, and my speakers are basic Philips 4.1.

Xcuse my english :)

Most videos/movies are recorded with Surround Sound, while most audio is only 2 channel stereo.

Dolby ProLogic will often interpret out of phase signals and send that info thru the rear channels, but in general you will have to run some kind of rear channel synth processing to get anything out of the rear channels from a stereo source.

You could try going to the DSP studio and choose JRSS for your output format.

Tools->Options->Playback->DSP Studio

Then in there, check output format and under channel, choose 4 Channel, JRSS 2.0
