Find and Replace "failure" message.
« on: May 16, 2004, 09:33:24 pm »

I just used "Find and Replace" to move an audio library from one drive letter to another after installintg MC on a new system/drive.  Everything seemed to go okay -- I got the confirmation message after the process that said it was successful.  I then clicked on one of the files in order to get MC to "complete" the update.  The dialogue came up saying it was updating files or tag info, but when it was finished I got a message that indicated that ALL the files had failed to update properly -- i.e. the total number of failures was the total number of files in the library.  The odd thing is that I can't tell what failed since the files seem to work normally now.

I'm not sure if I should just assume that the failure message was incorrect and move on, or if I should copy the files back over from a backup and start over.  Is it possible for "Find and Replace" to give erroneous error messages after large operations?

Thanks for any feedback on this,

Larry
