paid but it won't register

when i try try to license it i get "Error installing media jukebox license.  Failed extracting license from file"

Which operating system? Do you have permissions to write the registry?

of course i read the faq first.  it was linked into the license process.  i see nothing in the faq about this error.  i even followed the faq instructions and tried restoring but that did not work either.  

i tried searching on "Error installing media jukebox" and "Failed extracting license" and got one hit - this message.

Update your program.

Check your PC's date.

Use IE as your browser.

Install keys last for 14 days.  Then you must restore.

The license may not be good for the software you are using.

The FAQ has all the information we know.

i reinstalled with the latest version (8.0.400) the night i bought the license and it didn't work.

my pc's date is correct.  

i use IE

the install key did not work the night i bought it and has not worked since

i tried restoring and that gave the same error

opening the license file in notepad it says it is for version 8 which i am running.

The FAQ has an alternate method for saving the Install Key.  Did you try it?

Check the date on your PC.

Try reading the FAQ carefully again.  It contains everything we know.

i have read the faq.  my date is correct.  i tried saving the key to the hard drive and opening it the night i paid for the software.   i always get the same error message from mj.

Can you try the Install Key on another PC?

The key may have been mangled by an e-mail server.  A lot of ISP's are checking for SPAM and viruses now and we think it's causing some problems.

Try the right click save method outlined in the FAQ.  Use IE to visit the restore page found in the FAQ.
