Hi there,  After a format at the weekend and a clean install of XP Pro, I applied SP2 build 2138.  Since then I have had no end of problems with DivX and now with MC.  I installed the latest version (10.0.146), and imported my audio/video files into MC.  Now:

Play some mp3s - go to playing now - all is fine.
Play some videos - go to playing now, and the problems start.

At times just entering playing now, sometimes when going into full-screen mode, generally just whenever video is involved, MC crashes - no error - just disappears!

I would un-install the service pack, but stupidly it was the first thing I installed, and it says there'll be trouble with every I have installed since if I try to remove it.  So I'm a bit stuck really.  Any suggestions??

I have an ATI Radeon 7000 in this machine with driver version: 6.14.10.6444
I have Windows XP Professional SP1 - with SP2 build 2138 installed.
The machine has an Atlon XP 2100+ with 512MB DDR, and an MSI KT3 Mobo.
Whether related or not - the problem I am having with DivX is when trying to open config.exe - just won't open - no errors - but it brings down Gordian Knot if I try to change any settings

XP SP2 isnt stable yet - i had to uninstall it to get things to work again

There is a known problem with Divx, use the freeware alternative for now.

Try 2142 or later.
