directly edit of image file in extended Tag info
« on: July 13, 2004, 10:45:34 am »

I want to enter the "Image File" without a path.
The Media Center command "Add file" always generates a path.
The field "Image file" is read only so i can't edit it.
Is there a workaround?

The goal is to tag every mp3 with the Imagefile "cover.jpg" and to copy the specific "cover.jpg" to each directory.

thanks
Frank

It would be nice to know why it is read only. I could have used Find & Replace with the Image File tag many times.

If you save the image first in the music files directory and add it manually (Add from File...) only the filename is stored.

I have my album images in the Artist/Album directories together with the music files. The small cover images are named as artist - album.jpg (e.g. 'Madonna - American Life.jpg'). MC finds them automatically when I use the Quick Find In File / Cover Art Directory tool.

I usually also scan bigger images (back, inlay, booklet, CD etc). I save them to the corresponding Artist/Album folders, import them to MC and tag them with Artist, Album and Name tags. When I send them to Playing Now together with the music files MC shows the images in a slideshow. I have made playlists of my album files. So I can play whole albums with a slideshow by one double-click.
