Error Printing Headers Message??
« on: November 10, 2002, 08:23:18 am »

I bought Media jukebox 7.2 and have the.rrg file.  Got a new computer, installed it again to my new computer, everything seems to work fine except when I use the media editor. The media editor will play the converted song, let me make a selection of what I wat to cut out.  Then when I click on crop it gives me the message "Error Printing Headers" What does this mean.  It didn't do that before I reinstalled it. I cannot cut a selection out of the file. Also Can I upgrade to the new version with the same .rrg file? Do I have to purchace it again? Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JoAnn  ?

It's in the FAQ under Jukebox/Purchase above, but a 7.x license will work with version 8.0 from our downloads page.

Try not running MJ when you run Media Editor.

Ok I tried not running MJ while running Media Editor, and still the "error Preparing Headers" came up.  It also locks up my computer and I have to do Ctrl-Alt-Del to close Media Editor.  Then once that is closed my Internet Explorer doesn't work at all so I have to reboot my computer.  I went and installed MJ 8, hoping a different program would help, but it does the same thing. What does this error message mean and does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks,

JoAnn

Wanted to let you know I figured it out  ;D. I'll explain in case it ever happens to anyone else.

On computers with large amounts of RAM, the maximum cache size can be large enough that Vcache consumes all of the addresses in the system arena, leaving no virtual memory addresses available for other functions.

This is what was causing my problem. I set the Vcache setting in my system.ini file to 512 meg.  It was defaulted to 999 meg. Leaving me less than 100 meg to perform other functions.

Just thought this might be helpful for someone who might be having the same problem.  Because it has been a nightmare for me the past few months..

Thanks for your help,
