OEM devices based on MC
« on: August 04, 2004, 08:38:35 am »

Has anyone here come across 'ready to buy' devices that include a version of MC on board? I am thinking of a media PC as a HiFi/video component that is not packaged and sold as a PC.

For those considering to develop such a device are special terms, versions, support, contracts..... available from JRiver?

Would this make sense? And why not?

fan_man,

We do have some companies using MC to 'hold together' HTPC's that they sell. We don't encourage this on a smaller scale as it means too much work for little reward, but serious inquiries are welcome, and we can offer discounts on bulk licensing. OEM companies can contact me directly at peter @ jriver.com

Peter, can you give names of the HTPC products that  use MC?  Sounds like Fan_Man is looking for the same type of thing as I am.

Many Thanks to both of you! That was helpfull.
It would be niche to have a published list of 'partner products'
