In the gml, the sendmessage commands point to Media Jukebox.exe. This has recently changed to Media Center.exe.
To fix this select the command and click target and change Media Jukebox.exe to Media Center.exe.
J River might want to take note of this issue too.

Hope this helps Zeltak

Actually, if you just uncheck "Media Jukebox.exe" this works and is a little easier.

As of the latest build (.76), it doesn't appear that mjextman.exe is working properly (I also get a crash).  I hope they will be fixing this soon.

Thank you cncb for this tip.  I would've had no idea how to get my remote working with MC11.  I use a limited number of commands, but was able to get everything working again in Theatre Mode except for Reshuffle.

I posted in the build thread that the Theatre View screen doesn't refresh when I press Reshuffle even though it works in Standard View and via the Controls button.

You can also open a COPY of your GML in a text editor and just do a search-and-replace. Get rid of all instances of "Media Jukebox.exe" and replace with "Media Center.exe"

Fastest & easiest!

Best,
Brad

(You're using a copy just to be safe....)

80 % of the times that won't work, Brad. You want to do that, it's better to get hold of a freeware XML editor, like Peter's XML editor, which is my favourite, ( http://www.iol.ie/~pxe/) it seems to get it right every time.

Mastiff,

Why won't that work 80% of the time?  The only potential issue is one of encoding, but the GML uses UTF-8 which should work just fine with Notepad and certainly works fine with EditPad (my personal favorite).

Am I overlooking something?

I use Girder directly (i.e. not the JRiver plugin from within MC) and all the commands use "mjextman.exe" as their target.  Based on cncb's post it seems that this won't work anymore, but I'm unclear how to fix this.  In Girder, what would I need to change "mjextman.exe" to in order to get it to work?  Are all the commands the same -- i.e. for example, will "/MCC 10013,0" still bring MC to the front window?

Again, I'm not using the plugin with MC -- I'm simply using Girder to control MC.

Thanks,

Larry

"mjextman.exe" was temporarily broken and works for me now in the latest build.  You shouldn't have to change your Girder file if you're using "mjextman" instead of the SendMessage commands.

My mistake...  I forgot that there were two ways to do this in Girder.  I wonder:  does anyone have a definitive comparison between the sendmessage and mjextman methods?
