I've been using MJ (version 7.2.280) for years now (love it).  I have at times imported some of my files to WMP or itunes.  The "year" field doesn't appear in those programs as it does in MJ.  most of the tags (V1) were created in MJ.  Should i convert the tags to v2 to make them compatible with WMP or has anyone ever heard of this problem.   FYI...I've applied a volume adjustment to almost all my files with MP3Gain.  I only mention this as it appears the gain info is very close to the tag in the file
