Spinning Cube Visualization
« on: September 20, 2004, 08:51:20 am »

I know how to bring up visualizations, but do not see the selection for the spiining cube (which looks pretty cool).  How do I select it?

TIA.

Does that mean that it must be downloaded?

It is included with the latest MC 10 and MC 11.

Pick "3D Visualizations" from the right-click menu for the display while playing music.

I have v 10.0.  I am unsure where I should be right-clicking to get this menu.  I have been going to player > display options > visualizations and see no reference to 3D.  Must be doing something wrong.

It's not in 'Visualizations' but '3D Visualizations'.
I didn't know it was included in the latest MC10 and MC11. I downloaded it a long time ago as a plug-in on http://accessories.musicex.com/mediacenter/accessories.php under the display plug-ins.

I only see visualizations there.  No reference to 3D.

I am looking in "player > display options".  Is this not the correct menu?

It should show up in MC's Tools > Plugin Manager... under "Display."

Is it there?  If not, try a reinstall of the latest MC 10.

Select Playing Now from the tree
The first button on the Playing Now window, Menu.
Click that and goto Displays,
Choose 3D Visulization
The set of arrow buttons on the right, Choose Picture Cube.

I am at work right now, and I get    Error starting 3 D visualizations...

Does this need DX9

OK Folks.  I got there.  Don't have any images though.  Am downloading the cover art now.  Will create the palyslist when done and see how this goes.

Thanks for the help.

I removed the 3D Visualization and reinstalled it, now I do not show a 3D visualization in my plugin manager area.  I downloaded the directx and turned it on in DSP.  No luck and still getting the msg shown in the above msg.

Some video cards can't do 3D in a window.

If you're like me, it's fun (but hard on the wallet) to find an excuse to upgrade something.

Matt, thanks for the info.  I will change out the video card.  Do you have a recommendation for a basic one that will do the job?
Again thanks for all your hard work....
