Multiple problems
« on: October 17, 2004, 08:12:59 pm »

I got media center about 2.5 years ago. I upgraded to 9.0 about 1.5 year ago but I got an error when I installed it and not having any service to contact I kind of gave up and just used another program and figured the $$ loss as "a learning experience".

Now I was trying to rip a CD this evening and it says I needed to "reactivate and re-establish my license code. So I did that, got the liscence code from the website, plugged it in and I got "Invalid License code error-14"

Needless to say, I'm kind of frustrated. Not only have I purchased the previous version, but I purchased the 9.0 version (think I still have the CC statement from it) and it didn't work... now I can't even rip CD's anymore.

Please help, because this is a bit ridiculous.

I've read through this... and it still doesn't explain why I am getting the error "Invalid License code - 14". I retrieved the license code and the registration code already. I don't want to risk buying version 10 at this time as I did that with version 9 and not have it work.

Perhaps you could be more specific as to what I need to do.

Please start by saying what full version you are using.  Is it current?

Did you try a restore?

That error number indicates the version of the license you are restoring does not match the version of the software you have.
