Well I hooked the drive upto another computer and it reads it.... Looks like my computer is toast...
Anyone have any expierence with computers that have Win Media Center 2005?
You can try the last ditch method.
Unplug the computer, don't just turn it off.
Open the case (unless it is sealed and under warranty).
Locate the CMOS battery, should look like a watch battery somewhere on the motherboard.
Remove the battery. Make sure you notice which side (+ or -) is up.
Let it sit for an hours or so. You could also look at the mothboard manual and see what the CMOS drain jumper is and use it to quickly drain the CMOS of power.
Either way, after you drain the CMOS of power, put the battery back in.
Close the cover.
Plug in and power up the machine.
It should now be in factory default and should warn you that you need to enter CMOS setup.
If you can now see the drive properly, all is well.
If not, the motherboard has a problem that you will not be able to fix.
But, if you have one laying about, I'd also try a different IDE cable if the CMOS drain did not work. I'm guessing when you tried the drive on another system you used that system's cable.
