USB Audio volume control
« on: December 23, 2004, 05:52:22 pm »

I've been using Media Center 11 with an internal sound card and the volume control to use the system volume and it's been working ok for me.

I recently added a Xitel Hifi-link usb audio adapter. The system volume doesn't seem to control the hifi-link's level. I find I can only change it through the wave volume control on the windows volume control. I can kind of work around this by setting the wave volume to max and setting Media Center to use internal volume. This works for most things, but if I'm playing an RA file or a WM9 stream for example http://www.di.fm/wma/deephouse.asx, Media Center's volume slider disappears.

Any ideas?
