Windows Media Errors - how to handle it?
« on: December 24, 2004, 05:53:42 am »

When I play files sometimes I have an error message: "Media Jukebox is unable to acquire license for this file. Windows Media Errors 0X80070020". It doesn't depend on what file I'm plaing. It happenings with the diferent files (sometimes everything is all right, sometimes I have an error message for  one file or another. How I could handle it?

Could this be the result of selecting to activate Digital Rights Management when installing the Windows Media Player.  I know that when I installed the MS Media Player for the first time it asked me if I wanted to activate Digital Rights Management. I deselected this option to deactivate this service.  As I understand it this service does exactly what is being described in the error message, i.e. it attempts to acquire the license/rights to copyrighted material.
